Born and raised in Indiana I come from a family that is solidly based in the religious, moral, and ethical principals that dictate how people should treat one another. ‘Do unto others as you would have them do unto you’ is the Golden Rule and I make no apologies for living under that creed to anyone who may think themselves better than me for my quoting religious doctrine.
I was educated at Ohio State University and Purdue University in Computer Science. I continue to be educated in life through what I see people are capable of doing to and for each other every day. I have developed a keen curiosity in human behavior, the natural sciences and our place in nature. Having met many good people in my travels around this great nation I am nevertheless constantly surprised at the level of depravity some people will put themselves through and what indignities they will suffer unto others. Getting along with each other may not be required to ensure our continued existence on this planet but it sure would make the ride more enjoyable.
I am proud to be an American. Currently disgusted with the childish, selfish behavior of adults who think their personal needs should come before anyone else’s. I am tired of my hard-earned tax dollars going to support their criminal lifestyle through the ever-increasing expense of law enforcement, the judicial system, and the penal system. I am fed up with them taking up space in the news media and have had it to here with them detracting from my ability to peacefully co-exist with other like-minded individuals who only want to live the basic dream of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.
I have also garnered a lot of respect for the American spirit and am proud to be a part of it.
As an observer of life and being a news junkie I have formed solid opinions on what has gone wrong with this country and what is right about it. This blog gives me the perfect forum for voicing those opinions.
I have a deep interest in new technology and where it is taking this society.
I know we cannot go back to the 'good ole days' when people could trust one another, but we are all basically good and our core values are still in tact. We need to start letting those values rule us and expose the dark side in others wherever we find it.
